Register to vote at the Library?
I went to the Village Hall to register to vote, but they said I should go to the Library. Do you register people to vote?
Victor V. Oter
We do, indeed, register folks to vote, right here at the Roselle Library. In fact, today is National Voter Registration Day, so we have a special table with extra registrars on hand, 9:30 am to 9 pm. Two chairs, no waiting!
We will be registering people to vote at the Roselle Library through October 11, 2016 when voter registration is closed. You may also register to vote online here, or register to vote by mail. The application is available online here in English or Spanish. If you can't download the application and print it at home, feel free to come to the library. We can print it for you, and help you with it. The application by mail must be postmarked by October 11 and mailed to:
DuPage County Election Commission
P.O. Box 1087
Wheaton, IL 60187-1087
It's your right to vote, Vic. Guard it well, use it wisely.
Dear Readers, Are you wondering about the image above? No, this person is not "Dear Circ" and is not employed by the Roselle Public Library. Nor is he a patron of ours. He is also not a famous author, but in the photo he is writing, actually signing his name. Place your mouse cursor on the photo for the name of the person. Do you have questions about the Roselle Public Library? Want advice about how to manage your account? How to find things? Want to know more about what we can offer you? Or worse, are you just lost in library jargon, and not even sure what to ask? Here's our forum for how to get the most from us, your local library. You can submit questions online to Dear Circ, or, as always, in person, or by phone (630-529-1641). Posted questions will be anonymous.
