New library card?
I’m new to Roselle, and I would like to apply for a library card. What do I need to bring with me?
Roselle is a nice place and we hope you’ll be very happy here.
For a new libary card, we need proof of address in our library district, which by the way, in some cases is not the same as a Roselle mailing address, and proof of identity. A current photo I.D. with your new address on it is perfect, such as a driver’s license or state I.D. If you haven’t yet updated your I.D., then we need something official with your name and current address on it, and some photo I.D. that proves that you are who you say you are. In that case, a driver’s license with your old address PLUS something with your name and new address on it will work. Examples are a signed rental lease, closing papers, a tax bill, bank statement, preprinted checks, a utility bill or a piece of mail addressed to you by name. When you bring your information in, we’ll check your address, make sure you live in our district and issue you a card. It’s that simple. Your card will be good for 3 years.
Welcome to the neighborhood!
