Can I renew items before they're actually due?

I'm three days past my due date, and my doc told me I'm ready to “pop” anytime now. My problem is my books are due back to you next week. I think I'm going to be busy next week, I mean REALLY busy. Can I renew my books today, even though they're not due yet?
Congratulations on your impending new arrival. We're sure you're very excited and we wish your family all the best. And a special thanks from us for your thoughtfulness regarding your books, because we expect you have a few other things on your mind right now.
Yes, you can renew your books even though they're not due back today. The new due date will be from today, though, not from next week. The length of time for the renewal will depend on the type of materials we renew for you. For renewals, you get the same amount of time you got on the item at initial check out. For a 3 week item, you get another 3 weeks, for a 2 week item, you get another 2 weeks, and so on. If you need help when your renewed books are due, give us a call. We'll see what we can do for you.
By the way, when you and baby are ready to venture out, remember we have materials for children of all ages, and programs for babies 6 months and up. We're looking forward to meeting our newest patron!
Are you wondering about the image above? No, this person is not "Dear Circ" and is not employed by the Roselle Public Library. Nor is he a patron of ours, but the little one looks like he just finished attending one of our children's programs. The big person above is a famous author, and also a famous doctor. Place your mouse cursor on the photo for the name of the author. For more information about the person go here.
Do you have questions about the Roselle Public Library? Want advice about how to manage your account? How to find things? Want to know more about what we can offer you?
