It's Election Day, can I register to vote and also vote??
|"Nobody will ever deprive the American people of|
the right to vote except the American people themselves
and the only way they could do this is by not voting."
Here it is, Election Day. I was told I could register to vote and vote on Election Day. Then later I read there was some kind of judicial block and I couldn't do that. So what's the story? Can I or can't I?

Yes, you can both register to vote and vote on Election Day. You need to bring two forms of identification, one of which must have your current address. Some acceptable forms of identification include a valid Driver's license or State identification card, Passport, or current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck stub, or other government document containing name and address. You should go to your normal polling place. You can find out your polling place online here for DuPage county and here for Cook county. To locate your designated polling place, click on the link, then click on the SEARCH BY ADDRESS tab. Fill in the required information, for DuPage click on "SEARCH", for Cook, click on "GO."
So get out and vote today. The polls open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
