Why don't you have stickers all the time...??

Dear Circ,

Why do you have stickers some times, but not other times? I like stickers. I think you should have them all the time!

Meg Murry

Dear Meg,

Well, we like stickers too! And we know that our patrons like stickers, especially our younger patrons. So we have them for special events in the library, like when we're celebrating something or when we want all our patrons to know it's a special time for the library. We usually have stickers for National Library Week in April, when we celebrate libraries everywhere, but especially our library. And we have stickers for Library Card Month in September, when we like to register new patrons, and emphasize the benefits of being a member of the library. Sometimes we have them at other times too. But we don't have them all the time because then the stickers wouldn't be special.

Dear Readers,
Are you wondering about the image above? No, this little girl is not "Dear Circ" and is not employed by the Roselle Public Library. Nor is she a patron of ours. This little girl grew up to be a famous author, as well as a librarian.  How cool is that?  Place your mouse cursor on the photo for the name of the author. Left click the image for an enlargement. For more information, go here and here. For items to check out, try our catalog.

Do you have questions about the Roselle Public Library? Want advice about how to manage your account? How to find things? Want to know more about what we can offer you? Or worse, are you just lost in library jargon, and not even sure what to ask? Here's our forum for how to get the most from us, your local library. You can submit questions online to Dear Circ, or, as always, in person, or by phone (630-529-1641). Posted questions will be anonymous. Responses reflect the policies and programs of the Roselle Public Library, and may have no relevance to the policies, services, and procedures at any other library.
