My great-granddaughter, Libbie, is fascinated by the human body. She wants to know how it works, and she wants to know how it's different from other animals. She was named after me, and I think she takes after me, in lots of different ways! I heard about your science kits, and I think that having science kits is just great. The more kids learn, the better prepared they'll be for whatever they need to do later on. Do you have a kit that will interest Libbie?
Great Grandma Libbie
Dear Grandma Libbie
We actually have several kits that are about the human body. We have two that are general anatomy, one for the little ones, and one for older children. We also have a kit about the eye, and how it works, and a kit about the ear. So there are lots of materials here at the library for little Libbie.
Are you wondering about the image above? No, this person is not "Dear Circ" and is not employed by the Roselle Public Library. Nor is she a patron of ours. The person above was a famous scientist and author, who's research interests lay in the realm of neuroanatomy, and who had a long and vibrant career, being awarded a National Medal of Science for her research at age 91. Place your mouse cursor on the photo for the name of the scientist/author. Left click for an enlargement of the photo. For more information about this lady, go here, here, and here.
