Late fees; overdue items? We can fix that!

  Bancroft Library Portrait Collection
University of California, Berkeley
Dear Circ,

I love Roselle Library! You offer so much - books, movies, music, games, puzzles... but I digress.

As much as I love to borrow the wonderful things you have available, I have a bad habit of returning things late. My late fees have become overwhelming and I am ashamed to come back. How can I fix this?
Help me please!

Dear Anonymous,

Unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way of our best intentions. Time gets away from us and items get returned late (or not at all!); late fees accumulate. It happens to all of us. You are not alone!

We want you to come back so the Library Board has agreed to make September an Amnesty Month. Stop in at the Circulation Desk and talk to us. Your outstanding late fees will be waived. If you have overdue items (even long, long overdue), bring them back; you won't be charged any late fees. Take advantage of Amnesty Month during September to clear your account so you can rediscover all your Library has to offer.

You can submit questions online to Dear Circ, or, as always, in person, or by phone (630-529-1641). Posted questions will be anonymous.
